Spring on the Farm

Spring holds a special place in our hearts—our son was born on the very first day of the season. Everywhere we look on the farm, signs of new life are bursting forth. A few years ago, Peter built a duck house, and this year, a pair of ducks has set up to nest. The farm is teeming with spring energy: life is everywhere, and it’s a joy to watch it unfold. Our game cameras have been a delight, capturing unexpected visitors: deer, a bear with a cub, an occasional bobcat, coyotes, squirrels, and birds. Our goal for our forest land is to provide habitat, and the daily trek up “Cardio Hill” to the top of the forest keeps us connected to it all!

A Dream Trip to Page, AZ

We recently returned from a bucket-list vacation to Page, Arizona. Scoring those elusive permits for The Wave made the trip even sweeter—an adventure that surpassed every expectation. The vibrant, swirling colors of the landscape left us in awe, feeling high on life. That said, the trek was no walk in the park—thank goodness for CBD to ease our aching joints afterward!

Back on the Farm

Back home, we dove into our big planting day along Powers Creek. This year, we planted over 2,500 plants—a major milestone in our 10-year plan with CREP (Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program). It’s thrilling to see this vision take root as we work to restore and protect the land. There’s something deeply satisfying about getting our hands dirty for a good cause.

Hemp, CBD, and Oregon Regulations

Each year, Oregon introduces new regulations and permits for the hemp industry. Since 2015, we’ve navigated these challenges, and to say we’re frustrated would be an understatement. We often think of the saying, “If the fire gets too hot, it’s time to get out.” Yet, we keep pushing forward, fueled by the stories from our customers.

One tells us our Salve healed bed sores when nothing else worked. Another swears by our Essential Gel for rosacea. We’ve heard how hemp flower eases PTSD, how capsules and gel relieved Maria’s arthritis (she’s even gifting it to friends!), and how CBD on the Go soothed a nasty burn. A mother shared that our tincture calmed her anxiety, making her a better mom. These stories keep us in the fire.
