A Father’s Day Tradition Close to Our Hearts

Happy June, Whole Circle Farms family!

As Father’s Day approaches, we’re feeling extra nostalgic on the farm. Growing up, my mom had a sweet tradition: every Father’s Day, she’d line us kids up for a photo with our dad, capturing our goofy grins and his proud smile. Whether we were squirming in Sunday best or covered in creek mud, those snapshots are treasures—proof of love that grew stronger than our willows along Powers Creek. Below, I’m sharing a few of my favorites from when I was a kid, complete with my questionable fashion choices.

We’d love to hear your Father’s Day traditions! Did your family have a special ritual, like pancake breakfasts or epic dad-joke battles? Share your stories by replying to this email or tagging us on social media (our Facebook is @wholecirclefarms; our Instagram is @whole_circle_farms). We’ll feature our favorites in next month’s newsletter—bragging rights included!

The Farm’s June Glow

Whole Circle Farms is practically glowing this June! The milkweed is starting to bloom, calling out to the monarch butterflies and other pollinators. Our Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP) plantings are thriving, especially the willows along Powers Creek. Those little saplings we planted with our CREP rep are now strutting their stuff, turning the creek banks into a lush, shady paradise. It’s a reminder of how our roots—family, community, and sustainability—keep this farm blooming.
