During these difficult times when there are many unknowns it is important to maintain the safety of everyone while resupplying your groceries, as we all will need to at some time. Do not be afraid to attend farmers markets during the pandemic!
All farmers market organizations have implemented procedures for safe market shopping:
  • A few widely recognized adjustments include: booths being spaced at least 6 ft apart
  • all vendors and many shoppers wearing masks
  • tables being wiped down with approved disinfectant between customers or every 30 minutes
  • separation of money handling & product handling
  • hand washing stations available at each booth and throughout market
  • no sampling, no market music or area to eat as to discourage gathering at markets
The markets are also a great way to support your local farmers by purchasing their produce, grown with love for their community. Help support them during this time of unknowns and keep your money in your community while picking up your fresh healthy food! (Where do the grocery store veggies come from?)
